Iran successfully launches rocket into space

Iran has successfully fired her first rocket into space, putting Sina-1, an Iranian-made satellite, into earth's orbit. This means Iranian scientists have mastered the technology needed to cross the atmospheric barrier.

great job, it's a milestone achievement for the Iranian science and industry.

It was the main headline of BBC news yesterday. I wonder why they've suddenly taken it off.

It waslaterreported that it wasn't really "into space" but a sub-orbit (whateverthat is). I think thats why BBC withdrew the headline.
