I like the image and the idea, but isn't this a bit like hoping that hate itself will become extinct?
As long as there are too many people on the planet and too few resources, and as long as there are those who would pick tribe-identification over the greater good, we will always have conflict.
You know what I'd like to see? Conflicts settled with non-lethal weapons -- like Nerf balls or paint guns. Purely ceremonial, like a football match.
