Misreading Iran (again)

West-Ender

Prospect Magazine has an interesting web-exclusive article about Iran written by Michael Axworthy. It's a good read.

“The Iranians are resuming uranium enrichment, the IAEA has agreed to refer Iran to the UN security council and talks aimed at resolving the problem keep breaking down. Another Iran crisis. The west usually gets Iran crises wrong. We got it wrong in 1953 when we—the US and Britain—removed a democratically elected prime minister, Muhammad Mosaddeq, rubbing out any chance of genuinely democratic politics in Iran for a generation. And we got it wrong a number of times when, after 1979, fear of revolutionary Iran expanding its influence in the region led us to indirectly help in the creation of two of our biggest foreign policy headaches of the last half century—Saddam Hussein in Iraq and al Qaeda during the civil war in Afghanistan...”

Hello,

I believe that all the problems that exist in the Muslim world come from the Muslim faith.

Now, there is an interesting book, freely available online to download, that is entitled "Prophet of Doom" by Craig Winn. It is available at http://www.prophetofdoom.net/toc
This book "Prophet Of Doom" by Craig Winn uses only the Koran and other very respected Muslim texts to describe the life of Mohammed as it has been transmitted historically. See:
--The Table of contents is here at http://www.prophetofdoom.net/toc
--(Start with this page) "Letter To The Reader" at http://www.prophetofdoom.net/ltr.html

Do not be misled by the tone taken by the writer Craig Winn but be more focused on trying to disprove his claims, as all his claims are fully supported by what the Koran says and by what other very respected Muslim writers of the past wrote.

Make sure you read this book in full, not a few pages only.

And have a discussion on your blog on this particular book entitled "Prophet of Doom" by Craig Winn.

I challenge you and the readers of your blog to discuss openly about the truths on the life of Mohammed, the so-called prophet of Islam! To the attention of the so open, free spirit bloggers!

Sorry if this posting will probably be perceived as being negative but sometimes it is good to challenge the Muslim’s beliefs (that are obviously false beliefs, as the evil life of the so-called prophet Mohammed proved too well!).

Good reading!

Dear Annoy,

There are good reads, and evil reads indeed, I could see and read Jesus as a prophet, as I do, or call him the "son of god", Whatever you call Muhammad (SAW), I am proud as a Muslim that he still hasd believers as a prophet, and could look down on us and be proud. Don't even want to imagine what the prophets before him have to say about people like you.

Regards,
Sam (a good reader)

West Ender:

I'm not very much interested in that subject, and I'm not a religious person either.

Moreover, I think exploring the character of the prophet or any other historical figure is a task radically different from discussing the current nucleo-political problems (I just made up that word!!)

I agree with West Ender. Although the Quran has lots of violent language and orders to kill idolaters, the topic here is Iran. Is Iran interested in joining the Nuclear Arms Club or NAC? I just made that up. Of course they are, how can you be an active member of the "Axis of Evil" if you don't have an Evil weapon?
Bloody George open that invitation then N. Korea and Iran said OK if we must attend the Axis of Evil party then we must dress appropriately and both countries when out to buy their atomic dress.
