Persepolis

Some times back one of my Egyptian friends gave me Persepolis to read. When I start reading I was so amazed with the way Marjane Satrapi illustrated her story. With her special way of story telling she is talking about Iran, revolution and it is her childhood and our childhood that she is picturing. I think she found a good way to introduce what was really happening to Iran in wartime in its comic way. I found so much connection to her story that I bought it with the second book, which continues her life in and outside of Iran.
I highly recommend you all that if you have any spare time just read them for fun and you will surely enjoy it.
Both books are very interesting. In fact the first time I saw vol 1 of Persepolis was in my (non-Iranian) friend's house in Edinburgh! I stayed there overnight so I had the chance to read it. Then later on I found that my supervisor had read the book, given to him by his wife, given to her by their daughter :)
Great read, strongly recommended.
