The Times: Iranian bloggers may have helped to force the country's hardline Government to back down over who controls the nation's oil.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad suffered a blow when Sadeq Mahsouli withdrew his candidacy to head the Oil Ministry after criticism, partly over his wealth. FMSokhan, an Iranian blogger and journalist, had published photos of Mr Mahsouli's house, asking readers to note the satellite dishes on his roof. "Whatever is forbidden for us it is permitted for some," he said.
