Robotic vacuum cleaner: hoovering from your armchair!

The long awaited days when robots do the household chores are considerably closer with the advent of news technologies.
The robotic vacuum cleaners uses Bat's ultrasound intelligent navigation technology to automatically clean and sweep nearly all household floor surfaces without human direction, even when you're asleep or out of the house, so there's nothing to push.
This rechargeable cordless robot will clean up dirt, dust, spilled cereal and all the rest of the wet and dry mess that ends up on the floor, and the bag-less dust bin is easy to slide out.
The robot has infrared "virtual wall" sensors which keep the robot from crossing open areas as wide as 20 feet. It navigates around obstacles, protected by its bumpers. The sensors automatically prevent it from falling downstairs and it is safe to use around children and even pets: it switches off when picked up by its easy-to-grab handle, so there is no fear of trapping little fingers, paws, or tails.
Place the robot in the middle of the room, push a button, and walk away, it does all the rest. The robot is flat enough to slide under beds and clean places which regular vacuum cleaners can't reach and will automatically return to its Home Base when it's finished cleaning a room or its battery is running low!
P.s. The Trilobite project is "bat-like" VC as it uses ultrasound to navigate itself around the house just as bats do when they are flying. This vacuum emits ultrasound vibrates at a rate of 60,000 Hz to help itself clean hard to reach places and to avoid walls and stairs. Eight microphones capture the ultrasound that bounces off walls, furniture, and other obstacles, allowing the device to "see" them and navigate around them.
Hi!
I don't know with which version of this Roomba robot you have tested, but the one I have investigated did not use any ultrasound sensor.
That behavior-based robot was a good achievement in becoming robots close to homes, but it was not that intelligent.
Anyway, it is a nice to have a one in spite of its loud noise.
