The Countdown is Over

To my total shock, Richard Whiteley the famous presenter of Countdown has passed away in Leeds General Infirmary. He was suffering from pneumonia since May and has just been recovering from heart surgery when he died. The show which is still on screen is pre-recorded.He presented Countdown since 1982. May he rest in peace.

That was a sad loss :-( I remember just a few weeks ago there was a program on the telly reviewing the history of The Countdown and himself. May he rest in peace.
