West Ender:

well the schoolbooks are right, Tehran as a city is just around 200 years old, and it grew after the Qajar dinesty chose it as the capital. They chose it for its nice gardens and the cool evening breeze from the mountain, but the village itself was apparently very dodgy!

But Tehran has been a small village on the ourskirts of RAY for a very long time. It's not only Tehran, the southern wing of Alborz mountain chain has seen the settlement of civilisations from the very ancient times, Damavand, Taleghan, Shemiran... people used to live in these places since the beginning of history (when is that?)
