As far as I can remember I have always been very obsessed by cars and the whole automotive industry, which if I assume is generally true about guys, with some minority of ladies.
Anyway, today I was surfing online and was looking in different car websites. Finally I ended up in a website which from my point of view was very cool,so I decided to share it with you as well.
In Iran we are mostly used to ads printed in newspapers about the descriptions of the cars and a phone number.The rest is up to you and make arrangements to go and see the car for yourself.
This website that is called Khodro Web offers you the same sort of facilities that you can have here online to see the car and read about the specifications of it. The only thing which was funny about it,is that the cars are mostly old due to lack of new cars entering our borders.
In general, I liked the idea and seems they are aware of the needs of people using internet,which is a good sign for all the industries.
It's a very interesting site!
However the reason people are selling their old cars is not lack of imports or production. They just want to get rid of their old cars and buy newly imported or Iranian assembled cars. Iran has a relatively big automotive industry assembling Peogeut, Renauld, Nissan, Toyota, Kia, Citroen, etc... maybe most people in that site - who are internet literate and therefore from the middle and middle upper classes - so they can afford to upgrade their cars at least to new Iranian-assembled ones!

I didn't know for example that they do assemble VW Polo and Bora in Iran as well.But seems after the bankruptcy of Daewoo, Iran made a contract with VW to assemble selected model of their cars,which is good and I think would be better than Daewoo.
