First Weblog Meeting

We're planning to organise the first group meeting of the members of this blog next week. It will be in London and the proposed time is the evening of Tuesday 19th of April. The location would ideally be in a nice pub with enough space to accommodate 10-15 people, "preferably" with wireless internet connection, and easy access using London underground. Since many of us will meet each other for the first time, I would like to strictly avoid an Aroosi-e Irooni style gathering :-) where people sit on chairs around a big room, peal cucumbers and oranges, drink sharbat and not speak to each other! The venue should have enough space for all of us to stand, socialise, chat, drink, and exchange ideas. Please leave comments on this post and share your suggestions.

Apart from very many pubs and bistros in London, I guess a nice student union would also do the job. If any of you (especially people from Brunel, King's, UCL, Imperial, QM, City, Westminster or any other London university) think we could all gather in their union building please let us know. We won't need to book a big room for this function, just a large pub or bar in the union will do. I suppose most university unions have free wireless internet access.

Please forget venues where they play very loud music, for it makes chatting very difficult and we'd all lose our voices the next day :-)
