I heard from a friend of mine the new Persian year is 2551 . Is that correct? if so, why you said 1384? by the way happy your new year.

Your friend probably told you the year based on the old imperial calendar which is not used anymore (it was only used for a few years in the 1970's).
Anyway the number is not the point, the main thing is that spring has started another new year.
