Happy New Year
Woah what a night! it was absolutely fantastic, wandering around the city centre together with friends, hotching through massive street parties, trying (unsuccessfully!) to sneak to George Square's official city party, clubbing and partying until morning. This year I certainly missed the "official" city party because there were performances from Snow Patrol, Sound Development Agency, The Bootleg Beatles, Donnie Munro, The Midden, etc! The funniest (and probably the most unusual) thing about last night was that we found new cool friends in the street parties and then ended up in a private party with them in someone's flat who didn't know us at all, but treated us no less than other guests, which made us feel very welcomed and comfortable!
The weather helped a lot, the clouds were there but they kept all their load of rain for today.
Hopefully next year I will try to be in Edinburgh for the new year's eve. After all they have the most famous Hogmanay party in the world. According to BBC 250,000 people attended the street party in Edinburgh last night, which is 100,000 more than London! The party and the fireworks over the lit-up castle must be spectacular.
Check some hang-over cures if you're not feeling well!
Happy New Year to everyone especially the members here. Wish 2005 brings you a lot of success and happiness.
Can't believe it's a year passed since we celebrated the coming of 2004 in Manchester city centre with a huge crowd of friends and acquaintences. Time flies doesn't it?
With all the best wishes
