Vanunu runs for rector

This piece of news from the Guardian is a couple of weeks old but still interesting:
Israeli nuclear whistleblower Mordechai Vanunu has been nominated to become rector of one of Britain's top universities. Hundreds of signatures have been collected from students supporting his nomination. A university spokesman said that Vanunu's election would be a vote against weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East.
