Finding Neverland
I just returned from cinema after watching "Finding Neverland", it was beautiful, absolutely beautiful. I loved it and strongly recommend it to you.
The story started very smoothly. Although the first half of the film looked a bit 'long', it was an excellent foundation for the second half of the film where the drama reached its peak. Johny Depp who played Scottish James Barry (creator of Peter Pan) was as good as always, with his strange accent. Kate Winslet and Kelly Macdonald (who played Peter Pan in the play) were both excellent, the latter appeared very briefly but her role was very important as it was the peak of the story. All these famous actresses and actors put aside, I guess the performance of the 12 year old Peter (Freddie Highmore) was fantastic, he gets my highest rating for this film! Johny Depp, Freddie and Kelly brought tears to the eyes of almost everyone around me in the cinema.
Finding Neverland is a drama full of emotions and feelings, something I have seldom seen in mainstream films. Strongly recommended.
I saw it yesterday, a wonderful film. The story was nice, and the play (peter pan play) was very short but very powerful. I also agree with your point about the little Peter, he performed very well. Thumbs up.
