Four films I watched recently
Here are my short reviews/recommendations on the four films I've seen recently in cinema:
1- Love me if you dare: An excellent French film, sort of dark comedy, full of feelings, totally enjoyed it. The thing I like about these French films is that even though you have to follow the English subtitles, after the film you feel you've seen an English film. I had the same feeling after I saw Le Huitieme Jour (The 8th Day) a few years ago. Totally recommended.
2- The Motorcycle Diaries: The story of the early stages of the life of Ernesto Che Guevara, before he became the famous Che Guevara as we know. The film tells the story of his journey around South America with his friend on an old motorcycle in the early 50's. It's very well made, a good road film I would say. It's the other side of Che Guevara's character which has stayed very much unknown. The importance of the film is not the road trip itself, instead it's the journey that takes place within Ernesto's mind as he witnesses all the social divisions and lack of justice in the continent. Very recommended especially if you're curious about Che Guevara's story.
3- Hellboy: A very well made film in terms of visual effect but with a poor, confusing and disintegrated story. Not recommended. I hate it when trailers mislead you about the story of the films, and more and more trailers seem to do so these days.
4- The Terminal: A nice and sentimental comedy from Steven Spielberg, starring the Welsh beauty Catherina Zeta-Jones and Tom Hanks. For some political reasons Viktor Navorski (Tom Hanks) gets stuck in New York's JFK airport where he almost settles down and later meets Amelia (Zeta-Jones) who's a hot stewardess. Apparently the idea of the film comes from the story of an Iranian guy who has lived in Paris's Charles de Gaulle airport since 1988. One interesting point about the film is because shooting inside a real airport was unfeasible, the production team had no choice but to construct an entire terminal of its very own, and it is one of the biggest architectural sets ever built for a film.
I truly liked "love me if you dare", thank you for your suggestion.

The Terminal was the indication of such failures, all the colorfull film festivals caused Kiarostami(s) by keeping their hands busy being handed-over prestigious! worthless quastionable awards... however Merhan Karimi Nasseri is still living on a bench in Terminal One of the Charles de Gaulle International Airport without any knoledge of his life being hijacked by whome, whose ET, once upon a time, was the unbeatable supermodel of loyalty catwalks. this time,The Terminal, was the story Spielberg tried to keep our eyes looking away from.the story he tried not to tell.

Unfortunately you are right in some ways. I'm actually quite interested to know what's going on with Mr. Nasiri's life. How is it possible in reality to live in an airport forever? I heard some rumours that a number of European governments agreed to let him in their respective countries but he has refused, insisting on either the UK or Canada. Is that correct? Howcome no lawyer in this world has been able to solve his problem?

An Iran and Middle-east-related web blog in French: In order to make ourselves more vocal on the boiling democracy movement in Iran and on the West's counter-productive policies of the Middle East hampering democracy in the Middle East, I have created this blog. I am aiming to better edify the readers of the aspirations of Iranians for democracy and of their rejection of the theocratic system in Iran. Below is the URL: http://vahid-agha.blogspot.com
