Important - reaction to that disgracing movie (a line in the sand)
My dear freinds,
As you know , two days ago ITV1 showed a disgracing movie regarding Iran. Regardless of the political issues, that movie insulted each of us. Most of us try to show an appropriate popularity of our country here, but this movie demolished every thing. I think we should take an action. I talked with some others persian students in my University and they agreed with me. So I suggest to write a letter and show our protest regarding to this movie and send it to ITV1 and other related organizations since that movie had disgusting political aims. Please wirte your feed back and your idea here.
I totally agree with that, lets write a letter in behalf of Iranian students in the UK and NOT just sent it to ITV but to all newspapers and also the tranlated letter to ISNA and Iranian newsagencies!

I agree with your general idea, but if we're going to take an action against it, we should first do more background research, for example find out where the story comes from. It's apparently based on a Novel which was published several years ago. So if such a Novel exists, then you cannot blame someone who turns it into a film.
Secondly, we should watch the film again and exactly point out those parts of the film we think were wrong or biased. If we complain, we should know what we're complaining about. In other words, we can't "generally" complain about something, it's better to be precise. This would make the complaint more effective.

I agree with you guys, the film was crap. but mehdi yahyai first says 'regardless of political issues' and in the end says 'the movie had disgusting political aims'. self-contradiction?
also can you please tell me what disgusting political aims were in the movie? i think the movie was just badly made (with minimum budget) and the story was stupid and reflected the story-writers extreme lack of knowledge.

Come on guys, what do you expect the british people to think, when they see news such as this and the people in it? Do you expect them to think Iranians are very nice?

2-i agree that we should do precisly and also do more research about that movie .but as you know that chemical problem of Iran is for recent years and i have not heard that any novel has been written regarding to chemical problem of Iran .i think that they had integrated chemical problem of Iran with the story on that novel .in the other words i dont think that the novel based on the the "chemical problem" of IRan.this is why that i wrote that movie had political aims.
3-the acters repeated so many time that "these people will kill you".i dont know why but i think that this repeatation had a meaning .
4-the killer wanted to exploid the bomb in saudi arabia ,what is the reason ?do you think that it has a another meaning that iranian want to kill every people ?
5-they ridicule persian people when the acter described how persian eat kebab
6-the killer kill the wife of the main acter intentionaly with the more than 4 bullets(!) while he knew that the main target was not there .basicaly i cant describe my feeling but i think that all of these parts had a predefined meaning
6-the letter for ministry of industry has the persian title but the rest of it was arabic !
7-the funniest part of that movie was when the acter asked from the polic guy "can you kill him "he said that to be honest no since i have not killed any body yet ".
8-the acter kill the killer very easily and that movie showed that that exteremly dangrous killer was killed such as a baby and after that the acter drag his body .
9-i dont think that english people do any things without any reason my main idea that the resean for this movie could be for justification and awaring the english people that iran is very dangrous country and they should attack Iran such as Iraq.
*main point ,honestly ,i was realy angry when i saw that the actor kill iranian killer such as a baby .if the director showed any talent and special activity of iranian killer i whould not be very angry (lol).

The film was absolutely shite but stop the conspirecy theory that "I don't think english people do any things without any reason", what do you mean? Someone wrote this story in a book a few years ago! It's a book, a novel for goodness's sake! Hello?
