I'm inefficient, so you die!
The Telecommunication Company of Iran has officially announced that they will continue to close down ISPs and ICPs with Internet-phone service until they solve the issues of internet filtering and VoIP. While the number of telephone landlines has tripled between 1997 and 2002, the revenue of the Telecom Company has fallen from $20 million profit to −$32 million loss; and the Telecom Company points at VoIP service providers as the ones who have caused this loss with their cheap international telephone services.
The national company with all the might and financial and political resources available to them, is so inefficient that they are unable to make money even in a market that is monopolised by them, and can't compete with small business startups. Moreover, instead of re-organising their operation and service, they are simply using their power to kill off all other small intelligent companies who have been able to offer better service and value for money to customers.
I'm impatiently waiting for the international mobile companies to start their operation in Iran, will cheerfully watch and applause when the National Telecom Company's rip off mobile division goes bust and bankrupt.
P.S.: These two bearded guys look like identical twins! Don't they?
