EasyJet or BA?
As I can assume, everyone has used the no-frills airlines at least once. But now a days there seems to be only a slight difference between the prices on National Airlines and budget airlines.
Does this mean the airlines are competing well or does this mean people prefer to travel directly to their destination rather than paying extra expenses for coaches and trains to get to their departure airports?
But if the Airlines like British Airways are competing well, are they earning any money or gaining any profit?
I was looking for a price for a flight to Venice from any airport in London, the results were not that different among the main major airlines, I checked BA, EasyJet, and RyanAir. But if you point this out from customer point of view, why should you choose easyjet not ryanair? How are they suppose to make up their mind and book their ticket when the competition is so tense and close?
Honestly, I don't know, but if you have any views regarding this or the competition now following on the roads by different coach companies, do share it with us.National Express Fun fare - MegaBus.
Very true. I wanted to book a return ticket from London to Glasgow, checked low-fair airlines such as EasyJet and RyanAir, major airlines such as BA, BMI and Lufthansa, and even travel agents such as Thomas Cook and MyTravel. BA and Lufthansa had the cheapest offers.
However, I guess if you decide to book well in advance, low-fair airlines are still very cheap. As it approaches the flight date, "usually" they become more and more expensive. Big airlines have the advantage of a more stable pricing policy over time me thinks.

I think the success of low fair airlines have forced the big ones to rethink the way they operate. I remember 2 years ago EasyJet was so good and was growing so fast that there was absolutely no reason to fly on British Airways for most inter-European flights. My guess is the major airlines have re-organised the way the operate and have been able to save a lot of money. Companies such as BA who narrowly skipped the recession after september the 11th had enough money to do so.
I still think low fair airlines would be much cheaper in certain circumstances. I have funny memories of sleeping in Stansted and Luton overnight to catch the first flight early in the morning. There were lots of students like me and together we spent nights full of fun... ahhh I wish we could have that much fun in tehran's damned airport!
