Royal Mail and Channel 4
West Ender
There was an entry on the old weblog about "Third Class Post", a channel 4 documentary on corruption and inefficiency of (some parts of) Royal Mail. Obviously, the Royal Mail denied all accusations.
The effect? The last time I went to the local post office to send some letters, I asked for the "signed for" service, as I usually do for important documents. The lady in the office was surprised and told me that the number of 'signed for' and 'especial delivery' requests has increased since that programme was broadcasted on TV, which means customers now pay more than before to have their parcels delivered by Royal Mail.
Conspiracy theory: What would you do to force people to pay more for post? ![]()
