Depression, laughter and happiness

Unity

I am usually a 'thinker', thinking too much about everything, especially my (our) homeland. Frankly speaking, when I read and listen to Persian news, I usually get depressed, sometimes laugh (out of frustration) and occasionally feel happy. However, in the past two weeks I have had mix feelings of depression and laughter because of the following issues.

The closure of the new airport was a big international embarrassment and scandal. The Iranian Army terminated the contract of the Austrian-Turkish company which was signed and approved by the Iranian government to manage the airport. These unnecessary international scandals will only stop foreign investments and worsen our economy. Instead of terminated foreign contracts the regime should put more efforts to safeguard the Abu Musa and Tunbs Islands from foreign propaganda.

Yesterday, a friend of mine sent me a fascinating BBC article. The title is: 'Mr. Gholam Hossein Aje'ee (Judge and Judiciary representative) has thrown objects and jumped on the defendant (Issa Saharkhiz) and bit him in court. Some of you might say that similar things also happen in other countries, I agree, but after such unacceptable manners they either resign or apologize. But in the case of Iran, not only they do not apologize but they will certainly be promoted. Now, imagine if they bite in court what do they do in prison?

Iran's foreign minister has postponed a meeting with his Spanish counterpart in Spain due to the King’s invitation of Farah Diba (former Queen) and her son Reza Pahlavi to Crown Prince Felipe's wedding. Dear 'Mr. Dr. Kamal Kharrazi' I would like to inform you that King Juan Carlos as an individual citizen has the right to invite whoever he wishes to, however, if you are not happy with it, PLEASE do not hesitate to send your KOMITE (police guards) to their next party!!!

Soroosh:

All the example that you pointed out, plus the new conservative parliament, the conservative city council and increase in brain drain shows that we're diving into a new era of social and political recession.
